      The first run of the VR R class engine is regarded by many as the best model produced by Eureka Models to date and it sold out very quickly when introduced.
      This re-run promises to be equal in quality and mechanical performance to the first run and will be available in new variations and liveries. These will include the WCR variation in two liveries and R 766 in Midland Red and as preserved in NSW.
      The re-run is underway with the first step being the testing of the tooling from the first run.  During this process, after considerable discussion it was decided to replace the original injected plastic body with one made of zinc alloy. This will add weight to the engine over the driving wheels. The new tooling for this is in progress and will be completed before the end of 2026.
      The factory has set itself a target delivery date of end of year, 2027.
