HUB News

Tooling from the first run of Eureka Models' HUB set has been transferred to our manufacturer's factory which is located in   a suburb on the China mainland opposite Hong Kong.
The first step in the re-run process is to test the tooling to prove it's integrity is still sound. This is done by undertaking a series of low pressure injection tests which also serves the dual purpose of checking that all molds are in fact present. This testing is done at another location as the injection molding process is sub-contracted out by this manufacturer.
Such testing in the past with re-runs of other projects has never seen the failure of any molds so this is not expected to be a problem and all molds indicated on the mold list appear to be present.
Whilst this testing is taking place some planned modifications will be under-taken, principally the removal of internal car lighting which has been deemed to be unnecessary after the experience of the first run. The window tinting will also be changed.
It is planned to produce the same colour variations that were produced in the first run and the two supplementary cars produced in the first run will also be produced again. The two supplementary cars will be available separately again for those who missed out in the first run.
It is intended that this news page in all "coming soon" projects will be used to provide a running commentary on the re-run process.
